Romance Romance is a genre that explores the complex side of love. The plot in romantic films usually centres around and obstace that is preventing love between two people. The obstacles in Romantic Dram films can range from a family's dissapproval, to forbidden love, to ones own pasychological restraints. Many romaantic films end with the lovers seperating because of the enormity of the obstacle, the realisation of incompatibility, because of fate or because the two lovers end up together.
