Audience Research: New Title (Official)

Official Title

This is our title and is also featured in our film poster and the title sequence of our film.
We chose the colours purple and pink on a neutral background to express connotations of love. Having "Complicated" and "Love" in different colours (purple and pink) shows that there is no simplicity (as it is complicated). The two different colours also hint that the film is about two completely different people. The SteelTongs font makes the title clear to read, stand out and associate synergy across our film platforms.

Title Option 2

Title Option 2
This is another option for our film.

Audience Research

'People associate pink with love
'The dual colour scheme shows different connotations of romance.'
'The darker background helps the title to stand out.'

Evolution of the Production Logo

Production logo - C.H.E.H PRODUCTIONS

This is our first attempt of a production logo. It shows a silhouette of a film camera with a vintage film style font. This is on top of part of a film reel, keeping with the cinematic theme. However this did not work due to the image already on the film which does not fit to the general theme. Our next attempt will be on a plain black and white representation of a film strip.

This is an updated version of the production logo after using Photoshop to edit the logo to make it more appropriate for its purpose. We got rid of the picture on the film reel in the background and simplified it to black and white.

This is one option for our film title.

'Pink associates with love'
'The love heart is out of place'
'The background needs changing, romance is bright not dull'

Editing In Progress

Editing in Progress
22/02/2016
Here is a few photos of editing in progress. Here we realised that some parts from this scene need refilming due to the sound quality. This was due to the wind which made the quality of the sound not the best and causing it hard to understand what the two characters are saying.

Obstruction in Filming

Obstruction in Filming

In the week commencing Monday 8th of February we had an obstruction in filming for our final location due to roadwork's along the street and in front of Callum's House. Due to this, we had to film the following week as the noise which was been caused by the roadwork's would have had an effect on our sound quality.

Film Poster Practice

We used Photoshop to practise making a film poster.

I practised using different techniques such as using the 3D tool for the writing, and the typical "written by" directed by" font in order to make our actual poster more realistic for the consumer.

"You're a Wizard, Harry" Film Practice Poster

This is an attempt of a film poster using conventions from Photoshop. I will use similar ideas and techniques in our final film poster for our Film "Complicated Love."
