Dialogue:

  EXT. CALLUM’S HOUSE

Harry knocks at the door.

No answer. Harry walks in and walks upstairs to Callum’s

room.

Emily and Callum sat on the settee while watching Netflix.

Harry takes out his list and rips it into pieces.

Location: Callum's Room.

Dialogue:

INT. SOCIAL AREA STUDYBASE

HARRY

Callum mate, will you do us a favor

and get me Emily’s number.

CALLUM

Yeah, course mate.

Callum walks off to get the number.

Harry sat looking happy.

Callum walks back with the number on a piece of paper and

gives it Harry.

Harry ticks it off his list.

Harry walks off looks in his pocket for the number and

realises he has lost it, so he walks to Callum’s to see if

he has another copy.

Location: Study area at College

Scene 8

Dialogue:

EXT. BENCH

Harry has a cheese pizza. He opens the box, gets a marker

pen from his bag and writes ’Will you be my girlfriend, or

is this too cheesy?’ on the box.

He tries to find Emily to give her the surprise, but can’t

find her. He’s also hungry and, as he can’t find her, he

takes one slice.

HARRY

One slice won’t hurt...

Time passes and Harry is sat on a bench, with the empty

pizza box beside him.

In this scene Harry is wearing black jeans and his green jacket in the actual film he has his jacket buttoned up so you cannot see the top what he is wearing. 















What we changed

• EXT. BENCH: In the 'pizza scene' the script stated that Harry ate the pizza as he couldn't find Emily. We changed this slightly in order to shorten the length of the film; instead of attempting to find Emily, Harry never makes it to that stage as he eats the pizza beforehand because he is hungry. Additionally, we thought that not making it in attempting to finding Emily because he was hungry added to the comedy aspect of our Romantic Comedy.

INT. LIBRARY

Harry is stood at one side of the shelf, Emily on the other.

He can see Emily, who is reading a book. He looks at her.

He writes a note and slides it across the shelf sneakily

towards Emily, without looking, pretending he is reading.

Emily walks off and someone else’s hand picks up the note.

They look at Harry confused.

The boy who gets it gives Harry an interested, quirky look.

Harry looks embarrassed, sighs and walks away.

EXT. TOWN HALL FOUNTAINS

Harry searches on Facebook for Emily Penaluna, her number is

there and he tries to ring it.

Harry rings the number.

BEATRICE

Hello.

HARRY

Hello, Emily. I've managed to find

you number on Facebook. I’ve been

wanting to talk to you for ages,

just not been able to get your

number. Would you like to go to the

cinema sometime?

BEATRICE

My names Beatrice, I think you’ve

got the wrong number sorry. Have a

nice night and I hope you find the

girl you’re looking for.

Harry rolls his eyes and puts the phone down.

What we changed

• EXT. TOWN HALL FOUNTAINS: Removed scene where Harry searches for Emily's number on Facebook and calls the wrong number, speaking to an elderly lady named Beatrice instead. We removed this scene as, when we filmed it, the quality was poor and didn't link well with the film. This was due to the fact that Harry had previously looked up the number in an earlier scene and, in another scene, had also spoken to someone else. Therefore this scene felt inappropriate due to repetition of storyline.

 INT. COLLEGE DAY

Harry walks round college to find one of Emily’s friends, Hayley

He stops her and she looks at him in disgust.

Yes?

Do you have... Emily’s number?

Hayley smiles and opens her phone.

Yeah, sure, it’s... 07930759139

Harry looks pleased.

That’s great thanks.

Hayley walks away smiling whilst Harry dials the number.

Harry ring the number.

INT. HARRY’S ROOM

Harry is sat on his bed with pen and paper, thinking

carefully about ways he could try to get Emily’s number.

He writes on his list: Look in yellow pages, ask friends,

see if number is on Facebook, ask Emily for number, do nice

gesture, ask Callum

HARRY

Right, first on the list: look in

that massive yellow book

Harry exits his room to go downstairs and collect The Yellow

Pages. He flicks through the book to Emily’s surname

’Penaluna’, but he cannot find it. He gets annoyed and

throws the book across the room.

He then sighs and crosses the first one off his list.

What we changed

• INT. HARRY'S ROOM: Changed location from Harry's Room to College Day as we felt that having another house/location confused the script; it was simpler for the audience to familiarise Harry's character with College.
• INT. HARRY'S ROOM: Removed look in Yellow Pages from the list Harry creates to lose the Yellow Pages scene as it didn't work with the rest of the scenes and made the film too long for a short film.

Do you know that new lass Emily?

She’s just started.

CALLUM

No, whats she look like?

HARRY

I’ll get her up on Facebook, give

us a sec.

Harry gets his phone out and searches ’Emily Penaluna’ on

Facebook.

HARRY

I don’t have her on Facebook. This

is her though.

CALLUM

Well you need to get her number

then.

HARRY

Yes, I know just dunno how to.

Callum's House, downstairs in living room.

Callum then enters and greets Harry.

CALLUM

Hey up mate, how ya doing?

HARRY

CALLUM

I’m alright. Do you wanna come to

mine?

HARRY

Callum and Harry walk to Harry’s car and Harry drives to

Callum’s House.

Harry takes notice of Emily although she does not notice

him, his smile at her goes unnoticed.
